The time has come. I'm hearing a little rattle in the back, and I got under there, the rear sway bar bushings are shot. You can move the rear sway bar back and forth!

No one around where I live stocks the rear sway bar bushings in any size. They're special order 4-6 weeks. Trying to decide what to get. Moog makes some in thermoplastic, and Energy Suspension makes them too. Moog is Blue and Energy Suspension is Red and Black. Energy suspension is cheaper too. They're $28 versus $45 for the Moog ones.

I'm most likely going to order them online, so I can get them in 1-2 weeks.

I'll have to go measure the swaybar diameter tonight, but what manufacturer do people here prefer?

I have the blue moog, they are TPR. I have heard they can cold-flow (warp out of shape) but so far so good. I would never bother with polyurethane since they can squeek a lot and they have to be greased. If you don't want to worry about any of that, just get regular rubber. SHO Source carries Black TPR and Polyurethane.

Alright, I'll probably be going with moog. I've used some of their stuff before and i've been happy with it.

Also, I called my sales guy at the parts store, and the other guy yesterday only looked up for the 21mm swaybar. If it's the 18-19 or the 25-26, it's in stock and for only $23, cheaper then the energy suspension bushings.

I will have to measure the bar tonight.

We do carry all of our sway bar bushings in stock ready to ship. We have both Ingalls TPR and Energy Suspension: SHO Source

If the car is a daily driver then probably Ingalls. If it is for racing then go poly.

It's a daily, probably will never be a racecar. I will find out what size it is tonight. If it's the 21, you guys can get them to me quicker and I will order.

Being a 94 Auto, it most likely is a 21 as per this chart:

LOUDSHO92,

What would the cost and shipping be for bushings to Postal Code V6X2E9 in Canada? I can't find the 21mm on the shosource website.

I am sorry about this but we only keep the 19, 23(poly) and 26mm in stock due to popularity.

Definitely measure the bar as 19mm tends to be more common and its very random after 92.

If you get one thats in stock it would be $19.78 shipped per the site.

If you have a 21mm we might be able to drop ship. I can find out about that if you want.

If you haven't already, I've been told a very easy way to size your sway bar is to use the open end of a metric combination wrench

Great idea. I've always used a caliper but your method is even easier.

BTW, I just replaced my 23 mm bushings with the poly ones from SHO Source. They fit perfectly and shipping was fast.

I am checking and will let you know.

Make sure you measure where the bushing clamps I have measure lots of sway bars and the paint can add around 1mm compared to bare steel.

Okay it seems the 21mm is an oddball. We can get it but it will be a few days out as we have to bring it in. The cost is $30 plus shipping. Let me know if you are interested.

I managed to find a local source for the Moog ones. All in all I paid $52 CDN. Will be installing them tomorrow.

Thanks for checking it out. When the time comes that they are needed again, my local source won't be getting anymore in, and I will have to order them through you guys.
