Just wondering if there is a sorce for getting a rear 1/4 Rh for my '89?

I live in Canada so you can imagine what the winters have done to these cars. Finding one in a wrecker usually ends up with the same result, rusted quarters. Anyone got a suggestion?

Thanks in advance!

I think that they are readily available aftermarket - Ford might still have them. I know that Ford still makes the Gen II ones, because I have one on my car.

You mean they make the rear panels for our car? I knew they were welded into the body, so how does this go about? Just wondering because I need one myself.

Exactly, you drill out the spot welds, do some cutting and weld the new one on. Not a backyard job, unless of course you feel comfortable with it and know what you are doing.

When I was rear ended a few years ago my passenger rear quarter panel was damaged. I had made clear to the body shop that I only wanted Ford parts. I would stop by occasionally and check out the work, I saw the q/p when it came in. The cut the old one around around the seam for the back door, and weld the new one into place.

well the 1/4's are still listed on Ford's online parts catalog so I'd say they're still available. At ~$325 though...

Did it include the part number? I haven't ran into an online website that list Ford body parts with the part numbers. If I can get the part number, I'd rather use that then the piece I cut off from a parts car. :nut:
