Ok....so I lost my remote 2 weeks ago...sucks.
So I picked one up on EBAY...along with instructions on how to program it.
Problem is that the instructions assume I have the old remote. Which I do not have...hence the new remote!!!!
Does anyone know how to program this new remote?
These instructions I have are a huge production!....40 or so steps involved....come on Ford!!!!

Programming Transmitter(s)

To program (or re-program) transmitter(s) into the remote/keyless entry module, perform the following steps:

1.Turn ignition switch to ON or ON/ACCESSORY position and momentarily short the two terminals of the Program Connector (a two-pin connector located on the LH side of luggage compartment (sedan), or rear LH side panel (wagon) above wheel well in trim panel assembly, near remote keyless entry module. All doors should lock then unlock. Remove shorting pin.

2.Press any button on transmitter. All doors should lock then unlock, to verify that transmitter has been programmed.

NOTE:
If door locks do not respond, press button again (up to three times maximum with the same transmitter). If door locks still fail to respond, go to «Pinpoint Test I» .

3.Repeat Step 2 to program additional transmitters into the control module (up to four transmitter maximum).

4.Turn ignition OFF. All doors should lock then unlock.

5.Check operation.

NOTE:
The remote/keyless entry module erases all previous transmitters from memory when the transmitters are programmed or re-programmed. The remote/keyless entry module can store up to four transmitters in memory.

ok, my car had keyless entry, then the keypad was removed from the door and the box removed from the trunk, shotimes.com said that the electric locks wont work without the box, but mine do, is there something i can do to unbypass this so my keyless entry can be hooked up again?

Hey biker889 I am also from Quakertown Pa!!
What year and color is your car(s)?

As long as you have a box and keypad the locks will work again. I just happen to have two extra boxes!

I have been trying to do this to my car for a while. I can not find the program connector anywhere. I have looked up near the the glove box and in the trunk area on the lefthand side near the control box. Did all the early cars come with this capability? It is a 91 and does have the keyless entry pad on the drivers door and the control box in the trunk mounted to the back seat. If I can't find it it's no big deal, but it would be a nice feature to have.

If you have a 91 it DOES NOT have factory remote keyless entry 93 was the first year for the remote entry, a good way to tell would be if the control box has what looks to be an antena wire pluged into it. I think that you could add it if you got all wiring and the antenna.

Well, I have a 1994 (MTX if it matters) and I just bought a remote off of eBay and wanted to program it since my old one broke. I have read the instructions on how to do it. I have found the wire that looks like an antenna and I have 3 wire clips plugging into the bottom of the black box.

The problem: I cant find any 2-pin connector to jump to to begin resetting and programming my new remote. Where is this 2-pin connector???

Great appreciation for the person who knows the answer!

If you're still having problems finding it, let me know @ [email protected] and I'll send you the pictures I took of where the connectors were located on my 95 MTX. finger
Good luck,
