I'm trying to decide on the best looking "finish" of wheels to match the Crimson Red Gen II. Please provide your opinions/thoughts. I will probably be doing 17" or 18" (haven't decided which wheels yet). Which of the following finish/color would match best:

1) White
2) Silver w/ polished lip
3) Gun Metal

Thanks!

Chrome. It really all depends on what you want out of a rim. Style=chrome, gunmetal/silver=less weight. Not white.

Well... not too many responses..
But it seems like Silver may be the winner (out of my choices).
Hmmm, now wondering which 17" (light-weight) wheel to get.... :bonk:

Good luck finding those.. I looked pretty hard.

This is how I ended up

17x7 but they weight 20Lbs.. not exactly light weight.

Actually, charcoal ("gunmetal") with a polished lip would look sharp as ****. The amount of contrast between the lip and wheel/inner fender will let it be defined enough to not "melt" into the car like other cars with just gunmetal on red.

Plus, there's a bunch to choose from. :thumb:

I've ordered some Team Dynamic wheels through SHONUT recently. They don't have a huge selection but I find some of their wheels pretty nice and some of the models are pretty light.

I think he mentioned that some of the 17" models are lighter chromed than the stock slicers.

Here's the link to their US site:

Honestly there really isnt.

I searched everywhere for a nice set of 5 spoke gunmetals with a polished lip.

(If you find one now I just might shoot myself)

Shotime,
Is that the ADR / RS Limited Mase wheels? According to www.wheelweights.net, the 18x7.5" is only 19.5lbs... but when I called the company they said it's 23-24 lbs :bonk:

You're probably referring to pro-racing II wheels. I am aware of that option, however I'm looking for a better alternative. I don't really like the looks of the wheel, but I do like the light-weight aspect. I would be willing to sacrifice another lb or 1 1/2 lbs over the pr II wheel to have a better looking wheel.

That is the wheel, and according to my bathroom scale it come in around 21 pounds. I could measure it with the tire if you like. I went with a smaller one.

I paid $400 dollars delievered to my door, so for a decent looking wheel with mediocre weight. Im pretty happy it was cheap.

Hmmm... I wonder why there is a large discrepancy  The 17" you have weighs about 2 lbs heavier than the 18" that was weighed. Those wheels are a good deal on ebay (less than $400) if weight isn't an issue. Oh well, I guess the search for the perfect 17" or 18" continues....

Id say go with black or gunmetal. Looks awesome on a red car (like SHOTIME).
