Here's two pics of what I have on the drivers side

and three,

one from the inside of the car, of the passenger side.

The back of the subframe/H frame on the passenger side is intact. I need the bushing assembly that bolts through it and then connects to the body mount. There is nothing there on the body now...just air...but the guy assures me he can put new metal there and make a plate/mount that the cradle bushing can bolt into/onto

I had one fixed that was just as bad. If the welding guy is any good, it can be fixed good as new. Of course it depends on the money involved.
You have to go right back into that pathetic bump on the underside that masquerades as a frame rail with your metal reinforcement.
You have to find a friend with a welder that has a clue. If you take it to a shop that is charging full fare, it might be too much. Get a fixed price if you go shop route. An amateur can burn through a lot of hours (and cash) on this, while someone with a clue can make short work of it.

Thanks for the hopeful chat.
I think this guy is good. He is restoring a 49 ford for someone and then someones old Jaguar, I believe it was...and then it'll be my turn. Has said not more than 300.
And yes, I think in this part of the world too...a parts car...but for some reason I get a big kick from putting things back the way they should be...probably related to what a screwed up world we live in...Things'll never be right there, but I can make things right in my own little microcosm. Like brushing and painting the plate that the ccrm is mounted to, instead of just putting a new part on a rusty piece of ***t. Or replacing the bulbs so that when you open the door, or the visor mirror...the light goes on...correct
I found some nice little LEDs that replace the 194 bulbs, Just a touch of neat..I'm sure I'll get pulled over with red lights on the back plate and parking lights, but I'll just tell him that I'm from Canada and that's how all the SHO are there...he'll let me off with a warning

I crushed my first SHO before I ever got to drive it...rust.

I don't doubt that it can be repaired, but I'm sure there's plenty more rust on it
