SHO meet Oct 25th

My place in Chapel Hill is:

80 Cedar Hills Circle
Chapel Hill, NC 27514

919-942-9658 land line
919-810-9971 cell

Time for the meet will be 1pm-5pm. Park in the driveway or on MY side of the street -- plenty of room -- NOT across the street (psycho neighbors who will call the police).

We will hang-out for a few hours then go out to the high-school for a group photo of the cars. Then off to dinner in Durham.

If anyone is on a really tight budget this year, PM me separately for more info. We'll find a way to get you here even if you are short of $$

From the West, take I-40 towards Raleigh, exit 266. From Richmond/Tidewater, I-85 to 15-501 South to Chapel Hill. From Raleigh/Wilmington, I-40 W to 266 exit. You get the idea.

hey guys, I got forwarded the message about the meet. Ive been out of the SHO game for a couple years now. Unfortunately, TSHOC kinda went with it, or at least I thought but I see a few of us VA/NC'ers are keeping the name alive. I even still have some original TSHOC stickers. In fact, if I am invited I may show up. =)

I think I can speak for the group in saying that we are always open to all past and present SHO lovers. Please consider yourself invited.:salute:

I'm Bull Geek over on TCCA. Met DJ Martin a few months ago with soccernamlak at Duke University. I don't own a SHO, just a 2000 Taurus w/the DOHC engine.

At the moment, I'm game for going. About a 3 1/2 hour drive from Columbia, SC. Will need to seek accommodations for the night. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Nick,

Please accept our invitation to any and all members of the TCCA. You, Kal and I had spoken about having shared events and this would be an excellent opportunity to try this out. I look forward to the opportunity to meet with you and Kal again. Could you express our invitation as you feel best.

I wish I could offer you a room, but my youngest daughter is going to be home that weekend for a wedding. She and my wife will also be setting up plans for my son's marriage next June. I'm looking forward to escaping for a few hours.

Thanks,
DJ

Damn Chris, long time no talk to buddy! Good to hear from ya again. And you've been out the SHO thing for longer than that buddy. Least it seems like you have been. Hopefully my first Gen 3 I ever got will be able to attend the meet, that is, if Doug gots the goods for it. :naughty: And why in the world would John suggest me bringing that and not the new 2010?

Well I have a 740il and a Cherokee, and most likely Id drive the 7. But Ill be more interested in reminicing in the old days. And I sold my SHO back in 2004, so yeah its been a good 5 years. I actually had an opportunity to buy it back about a year ago but regretfully, declined. Im obviously out of the loop, who exactly has taken reigns as TSHOC's prez? And yes I have 6 TSHOC vinyl stickers left.

I'll take two! I don't think anyone has taken the reigns, we just all kinda talk every now and then and try to get together. Our TSHO club is pretty inactive considering our potential.

I'll take just one of those stickers. I'll gladly pay for it.

As for as a President...We don't really have one. We just gather up that's about it. Altho, I would say that John Dallara has kept the ball rolling the last couple of years.

actually, I think I am the informal floating social director (?), as well as as the founder of the TSHOC amateur weekend mechanic's self-help group.
