We will meet at 1:00p.m. (location to be determined, possibly Elkhart Lake) for a b.s. session and to show off our cars to one another. We will then take a drive through the Kettle Moraine area, and finish up at some restaurant. The details are currently being sorted out, but the date and time are for sure. This will be real simular to the West Bend meet, for those of us who were there. Look for an e-mail in the next week or two, plus the final details will be posted here as well.

I have several different pics, but all are 35 mm. I will bring them to the convention, so someone with computer skills can turn them into computer files.

The August meet will begin in the same park in West Bend as last time. (directions will soon be posted). After chatting there for a bit, we will cruise at a not so leisurely pace through the Kettle Moraine area, ending up in Fond du Lac to have supper at (Applebees?). From there, we will all go our seperate ways! See ya in a few weeks.

I'd love to come out and play but that's almost a 500 mile round trip for me. Anybody willing to consider a meet closer to Madison? Joseph in La Crosse.

Guys, I'd be all for having a meet in those areas, but, I need your help. You guys live there, so you'd know where the best spots would be to meet up, twisty roads to drive on, etc. Joseph and mosho, you guys can email me at mailto:[email protected][email protected]</a> and give me some ideas on where to meet up, good restauraunts, things of that nature. We should be able to get another meet in before fall, so let me know!!!

I'm also willing to go to a meet in the Wausau area, but need someone from that area to plan it. We DID have a meet in Wausau in May, 2002, and everyone who was there drove from the Fox valley, West Bend, Bear Creek, and Green Bay, and Minoaqua. Not ONE person from central Wisconsin showed up. It was very dissapointing, and that is why we have been doing meets in the southeast part of the state. If you guys are willing, lets try to do something in the beginning of October in Wausau........but you guys need to plan a cruise route and where to end up to eat. I know of a very unused part in Weston that is easy to get to, but from there it is up to you guys from that area.

Myself and flosho live in a town of about 4500 people, and it is about 45 minutes away from wausau. I know how to menouver (sp?) through town in wausau pretty well but i am not too informed with the country. there are a few decent restaurants (sp?) such as applebees, fizzolies(sp?), and a few others. I dont know about how much you guys look to spend or what kind of a meal you are looking for. Otherwise, there is a 1/4 mi. track in the outskirts of Eau Claire, called Rock Falls Raceway which can be checked out here, Rock Falls Raceway Its a pretty decent track. i've been there once before. Its $35 for fun day on Sunday's, which gets you 2-3 time trials, and then you race till you lose and if you win 2 races, you get a trophy. Im just throwing some ideas out there. let me know!

Peace,

Shawn

What time on Sundays does that track open? I'm sure there would be some interest in that. I can plot a course around the Wausau area if need be. I will make another post to see how much interest there is in a Wausau meet.

The track in Eau Claire starts time trials at 8:00 and eliminations at 12:00-12:30, but if we could go on an Import day, (front wheel drive-street legal cars ONLY), i'm sure we could get a lot more runs in then on a sunday fun day. The only bad part is that were getting towards the end of the season. That would be great if you could plan a ride in the country. what have you guys done in the past meet? go to a park and just B.S? Or another idea is that we could meet at such of a place called Rainbow Falls in Plover, which is right on I-39, and CANNOT be missed from the Interstate, and maybe find something to do in STevens Point? I dont know stevens pt. at all though! Just let me know or drop me a email at mailto:[email protected][email protected]</a>

Thanks,

Shawn
