Well I recently acquired what could be the cheapest sho on earth. That being said of course it comes with a catch. Here’s a little information before I get to my main question. I bought the car from an ex-coworker after it broke down on him 7 hours away from home and some tire shop diagnosed it as a fuel injector. 15 hour round trip to get the car and it was very obvious that was correct and the car smelled like raw fuel and the oil had 2-3 quarts of gasoline in it. 3 weeks later waiting for the injectors to show up and finding time to install them the car is finally running. As a long time mustang owner and the current owner of a s550 mustang gt i’m getting into uncharted territory for me with smaller turbocharged engines. The main things I was hoping you guys could shed some light on is on part throttle the car will build a couple lbs of boost and immediately open the recirculation valve over and over again making it kinda weird and not smooth to drive part throttle. I’m assuming this definitely isn’t normal and wondering if anyone has had this issue. Other thing is on cold starts it has like 1-2 little knocks upon startup and the noise stops immediately and will remain silent until the next cold start. I once had a 300 6 cylinder that would clack like a 7.3 until it built oil pressure and it did that for years and years with no issue. Since the car got fixed I’ve put 30 miles on it trying to break it and it’s been flawless. Basically my plans are to do the basic bolt ons and tune and possibly take it further but I want to give it a good shake down first. Any ideas on the issues I’ve had??? Thanks in advance
