Apoligies, in advance, if I violate any etiquette in this post.
After all the vehicles I have owned-46 Studebaker, 51 Mercury (with a backseat like my sofa), 62 Impala convertible (327/350 with Powerglide), 3-1960's era GTO's from trips to the Judge, 73 Mercury Capri (first V-6), 89 Maxima, Chevy Beauville van, 96 Explorer (still in family and on the road), 95 Wrangler, 03 Tahoe (wife's daily) and lets not forget the 63 Falcon, and others I know I have forgotten; I finally traded my 07 Aura XR (loaded w every option-sweet ride, but too small). I'm happy to say that at the start of my 8th decade under the sun I am in love again-with a used 2010 SHO.

Been lurking on the forum for a while and watching this one at my local dealers. You all convinced me to pull the trigger and I am glad I did. Car was a Ford Fleet car-early production (9/09), but hope most of bugs have been wiped out since in the company stable.

Love the auto. Big, quiet, great ride, and it does run. About 500 miles so far. No mods-yet. At my age no need to prove anything in street race-but nice to know it is there. I have tendency to run Interstates at speed-this should be fun going to Florida. It is scary quick and fast. Need a little more growl-not quite like the big V-8's of my youth-but Corsa and Borla are out there.

Thanks to all the helpful and encouraging posts on the forum. You really did have a big part in my decision.

Now to the Livernois threads. Soon Soon.:woo-hoo:

Welcome, doubleC, congrats on the SHO. -- LOL, nothing to "prove" for sure, but the POWER is intoxicating and mods make it even more so.....
No worries on the age thing......we've got a few older members here (including myself) who are just as excited as the younger group....:thumb:

Enjoy, and I'll give you about one thread on 'Livernois' before picking the phone up.:)

Age not an issue-except lifetime guarantees don't mean as much as they once did. My Wife has actually introduced me as "her oldest child". I have to get older-but I can be immature every day.

Thanks for post. I've looked at Brick as replacement for wife's Tahoe. Great tailgate vehicle. Will keep looking.

We switched from a Denali XL. With the H & R springs and Max-Performance summer tires I installed, my Flex drives better than most performance cars, and hauls people more comfortably than big Denali! Will say that the tranny tune (part of various tunes I have) is very worthwhile, as tranny is a bit quicker shifting, but definitely much smoother.
