New + where should I post?

Im steve and Im from long island, NY. Ive had a 1991 SHO sitting in my backyard thats been off the road for 8 or so years and I wanna get it back on the road. It ran great before the clutch line and linkage broke. Its been sitting ever since. I just recently went back and started cleaning up the inside and digging it out. What should I be doing to get the engine running again?

If it were my car, I would replace the fluids (most important engine oil and coolant. Check air filter box for dirt, mice. Overall inspection of engine bay for other mice nest or other mess that can or burn from hot engine or exhaust

I recommend emptying the old gas out and installing a new fuel filter.

Be sure to inspect wiring very carefully. As it is, the age of the SHO is working against you, but also seeing that it has been a regular "outsider", there may be varmint damage as well.
