I am a 4 year owner of a 1998 Ford SHO. I recently started a tear down. She needs head gaskets and a/c compressor. She is at 163000 miles. Cams are not welded. She still broke the tires loose in first gear. The transmission needs reconditioned. I bought her for 2200.00 with 140,500 miles.

Welcome. You can probably find head gaskets at shosource.com. I think they offer transmissions also.

This.

Welcome, it is good to see quite a few 3rd Gens coming out of the woods as of lately.

Definitely! I don't see any on the road around my area.

Even the 4th Gen SHO's are not that common on the roads even in my huge Metro Area. I am always looking at 4th Gens to see if they are an SHO.
