Took apart my mfs to clean it out w/contact cleaner; what a difference!
Anyway, i'm curious about a particular part; a round. plastic piece w/5 copper
"tabs" which make contact w/ internals of the mfs. The tabs seem to be mis-aligned. I'm missing the washer fluid function. Checked voltage @ fluid pump
when wash button activated; no voltage. Can this part be replaced? or do I need a entire mfs? If someone can post a pic for me, I can show you what I'm refering to. Sorry 'bout the long post. Thanx in advance.

No it cannot be bought seperately. Did you try realigning the tabs? This is on the end cap correct?

I have a diagram of how to test the switch with an ohm meter if you need it. It is also in the Helm manual.

mfs part

sorry for the delayed response; yes, in the end cap. I did test the switch, seems to have continuity. If I loosen the end cap screw just enough to allow the switch to rotate backwards (towards the driver), the washer activates.
When I tighten the screw back up, no washer, & sometimes continuous wiper
action on all settings. Yes I tried to re-align the tabs, but no luck. Which tab
should be higher(?) the 4 in the middle or the long one that arcs along the side? Thanx for the response.

I just experienced the same problem, I damaged the contacts while putting the MFS back together after cleaning. Instead of buying and replacing the whole thing, just get that small part with the contacts from a junkyard Taurus. This is what I did, works great and was a lot less work and expense than replacing the whole MFS.
