Posted by Kevin Manson on NWSHOC.org:

This is a follow up to a thread that started last week. Kevin Moroney
and I met last week at Dave Dotsons in Kent where Kerry Tuck was
working on our cars. Kevin and I both thought it would be a good idea
to get together at a Timmy's ( Tim Hortons ) for a bit just to shoot
the breeze. A few others in the area chimed in that they would like
to get together also, so here is our chance!

The date: Saturday April 24th.
The place: Tim Hortons at 20020 Willowbrook Drive East 200, Langley,
BC
The time: 12:00 noon until ???

Come one, come all. Meet the Vancouver, BC area SHO enthusiasts.

To Alex (re: 89 red SHO)

Hi Alex,

I have a red 89 SHO like yours (with a broken front subframe). I think I live near you in Vancouver as I've seen another red 89 in my neighbourhood. Was it you who put a SHO B.C. card on my car a couple months ago? Anyway I'd like to talk to you about my car. I'm not sure whether to junk it or fix it.

Cheers,

Tim

i'm working pretty much every day to make money for my trip to europe this summer, but if you want to meet up, just let me know a good day and/or come out to this meet&greet on the 24th.

*change*

I am so stupid...

Saturday at noon at the busiest place in the ENTIRE lower mainland?

Anyhow, my wife pointed out the error of my ways. I would like to
change the location to the Colossus Theatre complex at 200th St and
Hwy 1. There is a huge parking lot there, it's close to Timmy's and
to White Spot ( which serves a pretty decent lunch ).

Vancouver and Fraser Valleyites take the 200th St North exit and aim
for the crashed UFO thingy building. :-D

For those coming up from the States, drive north on Highway 15
(176st). Cross over Highway 1, turn right onto 96th Street east and
follow it to 200th St. Turn right onto 200th south and look for the
crashed UFO thingy.

We'll set up in the Southwest corner of the lot, under the big "Now
Playing" sign. Bring a cooler and a lawn chair and pray for good
weather.

Colossus Theatre southwest parking lot
200th St and Hwy 1
Saturday April 24th 12:00 noon >> ???

See you there!

**** Bill 2 and The Punisher both open this weekend (today)... hopefully itsl be a BIG parking lot (i haven't been there in a while). i saw The Punisher on tuesday (one of the benifits of working at a theatre), and it looked pretty good. i expect it to be somewhat busy.

but, i will be there

See you there?

*Bump*

We're still on. Kevin Moroney added the option of going to the "The BC Classic and Custom Motoring Show" at the Tradex in Abbotsford.

Clicky here

We could caravan to the show after our gathering and check it out.

PM or email me if you need instructions to get to the Colossus.

i'll be there, but i'm not too sure about the show... i've got work at 6pm, which means i need to be back at my house by 5 to get ready. timk isn't going to make it, he's picking up a new car (mazda 3 GT hb), and the SHO is no longer driven due to a broken front subframe. if anyone of you guys is looking for a parts car, let me know, and i'll forward you his email.

My 1989 red SHO has a broken sub-frame. The body still looks great - engine runs
well - new exhaust, brakes, rear struts, radiator. Is anyone in the lower
mainland interested in buying it for parts or to fix it up???

i'll be bringing both my camera and video camera (never know when they'll come in handy).
see you all tomorrow :thumb:

Alex, I know where there are a handful of subframes already pulled from parts cars down here in WA. They would be relatively inexpensive. Looking forward to tommorow!

Argh! Looks as though I may not make it after all. See my NWSHOC post for details. If I do, I will be driving the truck. :***:

Bad luck about the car. Personally, I don't care if you have to bring the truck, it can be an honorary SHO for the day. Hope to see you anyways. Let us know.

Sorry I did not make it guys. :frown: I decided I should spend the day trying to figure out what is wrong with the car. I sure wish things would have worked out better.

Next time?

No worries Glen. We'll just have to book the dancing girls again for next time! :naughty:

Prelim report: We had a total of 6 SHO's out:

4 Gen I's
2 Gen II's

Hope to get more out next time. A whole bunch of pictures were taken and Alex was going to post a couple so stay tuned!
