Two questions:

1) Where would one get spacers?

2) is this really an OK idea to use spacers, or are there structural integrity issues being overlooked?

Part stores sell spacers. Additionally, the only COMMON risk caused by spacers is reducing the stud's length by 1/4" or whatever size spacer you'd be required to use. I wouldn't fear running a spacer whatsoever. Only precaution I'd wholeheartedly consider would be installing longer studs to compensate for the amount covered by the spacers.

if you have some old Taurus rotors laying around, you can use them as spacers (with a little machining, of course).

I got my spacers from O'reilys Autoparts, they were like $17 a pair. Also I used 7/16 spacers and had PLENTY of lug length to work with. Just remember to use Short shank mag lugnuts with this application. JP

I thought it would be cool to get a set of Mercury Marauder wheels for my SHO untill I went to the dealership and asked them how much the Marauder wheels sell for. They said Marauder wheels cost $600 a piece. LOL, I could get a nicer set of 18" for 1/4 of the price they are asking for the Marauder wheels. But what can I expect it was a dealership.
