Enroute to Lansing Michigan from Memphis Tennessee my service engine light came on about 100 miles south of Lansing. I thought I was going to be hosed for two or three days. but a sleepy little Ford dealer called Campus Ford in the shadow of Michigan State University had a part overnighted and the IMRC was healed. Good people and great service. I got back today and all is well. Second warranty failure of the IMRC in two years however.

What kind and weight of oil do you use and what mileage do you change it at? If I may be so nosy.....

Are they just changng the box? Or are they cleaning the actual IRM?

I change oil every 3000 miles using 5w30. This time they changed the IMRC and cleaned throttle body and runner plates. I do tend to drive very agressively, ironically this failure was after a bland cruise of several hundred turnpike miles however. Also the first IMRC failure was repaired at the time I purchased the car almost two years ago to the exact date.
