I really need to replace my front sway bar bushings. I was wondering if you have to drop the back of the subframe to replace them or can you do it with out dropping it?

Drop it.

It's not as big a deal as you think. People have reported that they were able to do it without dropping the frame...but I can't imagine that.

It takes about 15 minutes to get the frame lowered enough.

while the subframe is dropped throw some gen 3 subframe mounts in there too, about 100 bucks and the car will feel like new, if your old ones are toast

X3 I went with Gen III bushings and it's a fantastic upgrade.

you have to drop the back of the subframe down, there is no other way. I just replaced the front bushings on the 92, and they were a PITA at the best of times, and I'm a mechanic....
