What does the hood part of this kit look like? Is it attached to the hood hinge bracket, is it an extra piece that uses the hood bolts of the hinge bracket, or is it attached to the hood if it is steel?

I have the part that attaches to the upper fender (where it bolts to the inner fender), but I am missing the hood attachment bracket. If it is a steel hood, can the pivot ball be on the hood?

I think I have it figured out, but my method requires that I make an attachment point for the pivot ball that resembles a trailer hitch ball in miniature. This new bracket would use the hinge bolts (for the hood) to anchor it.

Is this how they work, or is there an easy way using something standard from Lowes?

I have never seen one of these in real life, and all the pictures I can find don't highlight the top attachment.

Here is a pic of the setup on my Wagon. I can get more when I get home. Hope it helps.

Thank you.
I have uncovered your picture in my search, and that has been what has inspired me to get mine going.
I need the details on the hood hinge attachment.

Talk to vfhunter on here about the conversion. It was that way when I got it. I can take more pics for you when I get home, showing it all in greater detail. But that is all I know. I can look at the name for you too in my paperwork. Let me know how I can help.

Thanks, Irish Pride, that helps to figure out how it works.
Nuke, if your top bracket is different that the one in the picture, I would appreciate a picture when you have time.

Were these things manufactured by a company in the past, or are there a variety of relocation kits that people made over the years?

I'll grab some pics later today. I know SHO Source makes good stuff. Hit them up.

There are 2 different kits. One for the fiberglass plus hood, and the other is steel.

Sorry about the delay. Been super busy with work, and sick to boot. Here are some pictures of my conversion.

Thanks for all the pictures and the interest in this.
With the parts I had, I pictured the unit the opposite way around (with the pivot bracket on the fender and the mini trailer hitch **** on a bracket attached to the hood bolts).
