So i just cleaned my MAF for the first time (thanks to Redlines suggestion), and it solved about 3 differnent annoyances that were bothering me! The car doesn't surge, buck, or misbehave nearly as much(knock on wood). It was quick before, but now it's wicked fast! For something that literally took about 45 seconds and cost less than 5 bucks, i'm kicking myself for not doing years ago.

So in conclusion, clean your MAF, whether you think you need it or not! I'm going to do mine everytime i change the oil, just to be on the safe side.

of course, which has been cheerfully renamed as 'that mother-fu**ing POS bullsh*t filter'

You put a K&N in for a cheap horsepower gain, and ironically it ends up robbing it of far more! :banghd:

such is life
