Directly off of the y-pipe there is a metal-mesh looking pipe about 10-12 inches long. I blew a hole in it today. I need to know what it is called and if I can get just that part, or if I need to get a whole new exhaust.

Yes, the meshed pipe is the flex pipe. It's intended to take up engine movement between the Y-pipe and the cat-back to prevent the exhaust system from separating or breaking. Prior to '93 (I think), they used a donut gasket which was prone to failure.

Some Autozone's & Pep Boys have the flex pipes in stock, others have to order them. They're around $30-$50 depending on the size (it escapes me at the moment the exact size I needed for my ATX). Somebody also mentioned JC Whitney has some nice stainless steel ones for around $35.
