Hi, I've got the same problem in more than one sho where the cover isn't connected at the back and I can't figure out how to remove the front to repair the switch that has been pushed in. The back is hanging off both of them but I don't see a clear clip in the front and I don't wanna break it off to get it off and just have another mend to do. Anyone experienced with this one...I'll bet someone is, Looks like a common problem with the interiors.

btw, I used crest toothpaste from a you tube to clean headlights on my daughters little geo lights and although it didn't look as good as what I see here from the progressive grit sanding, it was a big improvement. Just a quick fix till you feel like spending the hours to great that showroom look.
Thanks in advance,
Terry

Pop the lenses for the click lights in the front of the cover. Just get a little screw driver between the lens and the complete cover on the outsides. Then there are 2 Phillips screws under those covers that will allow you to remove the cover.

Thanks very much, Man, this forum is really great!!. Why is it that the backs of the covers are hanging, is it a broken clip or something or do they all just come off like that??

no, there is a steel clip there that slides over the bracket to hold up the rear. however, since there is no obvious way to remove the cover many people over the years have pried down on the back of the cover thinking that was the way to remove it. that tears the clip out of the cover, so that it doesn't stay up properly.

when you have the cover off, you will need to glue the clip back into the cover with some strong, long lasting glue and hope that you can slip the cover back up there without breaking the glue bond.

I'm one of those that pried it down from the back before I knew how to remove it :p

Like ruby says, use a strong glue to stick the metal bracket againts the plastic cover. I used double sided tape glued on both ends, to the cover and to the metal bracket, and it has worked well for the past 2 years since I fixed it.
