Hello from Germany !

Hello .. from the other side of the globe !

My name's Martin, 53yo, I'm an car mechanic and service technican and I live in Duesseldorf, that's in the west of Germany.

I'm new to the board b/c a few days ago I purchased a 2010 SHO .. with a tranny damage .. which actually is being repaired in a transmission shop.
The Taurus is very rare car here in Germany and in whole Europe also, b/c FORD never offered that model over here, not any generation of it.
So there isn't any support or parts availible of the FORD dealers here, but I'm used to that, driving US-models for more than 20 yrs, actually I drive a 2013 Explorer Sport 3.5 Ecoboost, which has the same motor and transmission, as most of you maybe know.

I hope I can find some answeres to technical issues I can't solve by myself and maybe also some tips and hints ...

Welcome in. Germany is on my bucket list. I've always wanted to travel to Germany and other parts of Eastern Europe. My nephew was stationed there for 2 years recently and I kept telling him to travel as much as he could.

Welcome to the forum... and no, this is the right forum.

Went to Frankfurt, Heidelberg and Eberbach a few years ago, had a blast driving a Mercedes on the Autobahn to up to 251 km/hr (156 miles/hr), beautiful country. A bit shocked by the price of gas/diesel.

There are many threads on the must do's on these vehicles, like regular PTU and transmission fluid replacements.
