Do you just pry off the speaker covers on the front door to get to the speaker, or do you have to take off the whole panel on the door?

Take the whole panel off. Make sure you get the sail panel (behind the mirror) and all the screws, and be careful. A tough plastic screwdriver helps a lot. It is also a good idea to pick up a pack of the black pressure fittings that hold the panel to the door. Odds are you will break at least two.

Good luck!

Edit: not trying to be a negative nancy here, but this has been covered many times over and could easily be found in a search.

Ragarding the push pins, Autozone has them on the rack. "Doorman" Part # 963-010. They even say Ford on them.

As noted, you have to pull the whole door panel, you can just pop off the speaker covers.
