Just got my first SHO, a 2015 w/ 16 miles on it. :) I'm an old Ford guy and moved from a highly modified 2000 Mustang GT. I'm a member of DFWMustangs.net and may have even met a few of you. I'm looking forward to owning this car. It's not much, but it'll move the family and has some decent potential.

Plans:
Just tint for now. Maybe springs and light tuning in the future.

For reference, my Mustang (The blue one) at Motorsport Ranch - Cresson.

Thanks, and I already am, a bit. AWD vs RWD is a fun change. I have some basic appreciation for the differences in the cars which, hopefully, appropriately set my expectations. To be honest, I'm already fighting the desire to highly modify this car. Luckily, it doesn't need much, and the modifications are pretty pricey. ($300 for cold air, really?!?!?) That combination makes it easy for me to leave the car alone and really get to know it in stock form. So far, I'm damn happy w/ the purchase.

Ive decided as many have, the cai is not going to do much. Sound will improve and look nicer. But the stock intake is pretty eell engineered. Go for tune, plugs, 3 bar, thermo. Out of pocket will be about 900. Then theres downpipes which depending on where yo go will be anywhere from say 200 from a custom shop to 700 from a tune shop like Livernois. I got full exhaust, downpipes, resonator delete, xpipe and magnaflow muffs for 450. So it can be done on the affordable side. After that the choices are slim. Upgraded turbos, intercooler, etc. Those mods are pricey and only add a fraction of the HP the other mods add. Happy shopping

Welcome, Darren! Like sticks said, tune + plugs + tstat + 3 bar MAP is the biggest BFTB. Nice ride, BTW!

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah, CAI is a "looker" but I'm not really a car show guy. (I go to them, I don't participate.) My goals are the "unicorn" of combinations. Performance + Driveability + reliability. More of the first, less of the second, all of the last. I realize this vehicle will never be a "monster" and frankly, I don't want it to be. I just want a bit more power (who doesn't?) so that the daily commute (60+miles round trip) doesn't get boring. While also knowing at some point my wife/kids will drive this thing. (I still have my Mustang if I ever have the "need for speed" I can always hit the local Autocross or road course.

Sticks, I think you have the exhaust combination I'm looking for. Where are you located?

Dang, I was JUST in Phillie last week too. Oh well. Do you happen to have a video sample of the exhaust?
No i dont. Its got a mild rumble. Not loud and cracky. Typical magnaflow sound
