Im getting the error code 214 (M) Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal. I read somewhere that this is probably just a faulty sensor?

Yes, the CID sensor is the cyilnder identification sensor mounted to the passenger side end of the rear bank exhaust camshaft. It can be replaced with a Wells F134 sensor available from AutoZone for $29.99. It is held on with two 5.5mm (7/32") bolts. It is used by the engine control computer to synchronize the spark events with the cylinder numbers during engine cranking. Without the signal from this sensor, the EEC must guess. One out of three guesses will cause ugly starting: backfires and stopped cranking.
