I had my thermostat in engine flushed over a month ago I kept smelling antifreeze every now and then for the past month. Today I went to the doctors and when I came out of the doctor's office had a puddle of antifreeze on the ground. Took it to the shop and they found a small engine plug on the Block leaking it's the size of a dime.
Anybody have any information of how to replace a part # and why this happens?
I try to take the best picture I could. it's in front left side between the exhaust manifold.

If it's actually the weep hole that's doing it then you need a replacement. Better to leak outside than internally.

My 2016 failed about 118 or so?

The weep was slow, but I was told the water pump was trash. I drove on it for a while before everything was replaced. Keep an eye on it and the coolant level and oil level.

Thanks guys I'm in the process of looking up the parts if anyone has any part numbers they can give me that would be great. I found some on the form but they were from 2016 and up not for 2012 year..
I did find a 2012 engine that has 58k miles on it for $2,600 Lol

I found a head gasket with valve covers gaskets and timing chain kit. Water pump, oil pump and timing cover all for under $600.
I got to find out if it's the right ones that go to my car

So is it possible that my thermostat that I took out of the car and the water pump are related somehow one caused the other damage. Here's where my thermostat look like when I took it out of the car. I could take my finger and move that part left the right with no problem and up and down

Maybe. Some little chunks missing? Either way this is a wear item that needs to be replaced eventually. It also has the ability to fail and leak internally and that's no bueno. I would change it with or without the timing set.

Well if I go through all that just to take out and replace the water pump. I have to do the timing chain, oil pump and a few other new things. if it's all apart it best to do it once than twice.

I agree. But my wallet is much different today than for the last many years so I would have to weigh it out if it was my car.
