We will let Brett elaborate as to why he is done with SHO's. As I understand it he is done due to the oil burning problem with his engine. But something else might have happened....

Yes, im broke *** poor leaving for the service in september... i will be poor for a good 6 months until i actually am done w/ my training. I dont have 1200 for a rebuild or what not. i've babied the car, ive done everything right... other than take it to the track and race 1 car. but i dont launch and i dont shift very hard nor 7.3k rpms....
nothing else to say... im just fed up:(
i had a wonderful ATX ppl talk crap on all the time, i sold it to get a dream mtx, and now all i have is problems. i dont have the money! and nor does anyone have the time to help because time= money!
i really think im done... i work to hard for things... ive bought everything since the age of 14. even my hair cuts, clothes... all my cars, well 500$ towards a car... thats it
ive worked way to hard to see things slope this much :(

Bret cars do break ya know? Go to a junkyard and pick up a cheap motor. Have someone help you but it in. Should only cost a few hundred to not be smoking like crazy.

Bret, I have a 3.2 long block in the garage,,we should talk. I am interested in your SHO, and I know that once you are in the service you will have very limited time to wrench on them..Been there done that. Give me a PM, or email [email protected]

mine runs fine... it just uses a excess amount of oil.
everything still works great... car is flawless under the hood and exterior and interior.

only other small flaw in the car is its minor MINOR coolant leak, which it might be the overflow since i did replace the coolant and every other fluid after i bought it.

Need to call you

Hey Bret, I received your PM,,unfurtunately my PC is getting a bit finicky and I cannot send or reply to ***. Can you send me your phone number? I'll call tomorrow evening. Your PM was very informative. I'll be on a quickie vacation August 19 thru 22, and getting some fudge is at the top of my list.

digging the pits out? I don't want to ask. Now, if you lived over by Traverse City I would assume you were talking about someones cherry(s).

No, no, no Mackinaw is not "done" in late October. By then all the whimpy tourist have gone south, leaving plenty of room for guys like me who aren't afraid of a little snow. However, I will concede that it's a bit harder to get fresh fudge then.
Do your parents have a place for you to store the SHO during the winter? Your's looks much better in blue, rather than being a white bump in the yard.

Sounds like you'll have a place to store the SHO while you're off to "camp".
I know, salt doesn't work when the temp is below 10-15 degrees. Heck, when its below 0 you don't even need sand. Just let the traffic pack it down and go for it. Thats my favorite time up north when its all white, and really really quite.
