I know I'd probally need another amp... but if this speaker was bridged, and the right size... I would think it would be pretty loud. Any thoughts?

:thankyou::munch:

Those are the t/s specs, ill put them into winisd and see what it recomends.

edit: looks like you could do from .5 - 1 cu ft without any problems sealed. Also looking at the updated version the 840 model number can go down to .35 cu ft seald and .6 cuft ported.

So some filler in the box would help out... :) Maybe a port? Glad someone knows something about these things... ;) How do you go about tuning?

I take it that your putting it in the stock enclosure? Do you mean tuning frequency of the box when porting?

In general, you're going to need a much bigger box if you're going to port the box than you would if you put it into a sealed box.

The manufacturer recommends a 0.35 cu ft sealed enclosure for that sub. I didn't find any recommendations for a ported box volume, even though the specs say it can be used in a ported box.

Are you planning on using the factory sub box??? To me the factory sub box looks like it's about a 0.5 cu ft enclosure. It would work well with this sub. If you want to go ported, you're going to have to make a bigger box.

Set the gains by putting the radio volume to the loudest point that you normally listen at. Put the gains at their lowest point, then slowly raise the gains one at a time until you hear distortion. Once you've found the distortion point, back the gain down until you no longer hear the distortion.

You should set the crossover to low pass at about 90-100hz. Then, you should fine tune it by ear.
