Good news: Wayne County has been rebuilding bridges like mad in the last few years.
Bad news:
They're not done. Many of the bridges going over I-75 and Southfield Freeway (M39) -Especially in the city of Detoit- are crumbling. At any time, large chunks of concrete can and do let loose from bridges and land on whatever is below. Even if it's a car going 60+.
Consider yourself notified. The hotel for the convention is right there on the detroit/dearborn border.
