Quick question. I am going to replace my clutch here real soon and I was wondering how to reset the self adjusting mechanism. I know it is a ratcheting design, but where is it and how do I reset it?
Thanks for your time.

The adjust the SHO's clutch, simply pull up on the pedal. Sounds too easy, right? As the pedal is pulled up, the attached "ratchet" or quadrant hits a small ramp which lifts the pawl off the teeth which allows the clutch spring tension to pull the cable back. Put a block under the pedal while doing the clutch job, that will keep it in the approximate position.

Before you start, take a 7inch 2x4 and place it under the clutch pedal, that will unlock the ratchet and allow you to unhook the cable and rehook the cable once your finished. Then your good to go.
