Cleaning Leather...

Ok, it's not really a mod, but it falls under the "Interior" category. My driver seat seems to be getting a little dry and hardened. What can I use to clean and soften the leather?

The seats are well worn and cracked, but not torn yet, so I'd like to make them look a bit better.

I met a guy at a car show with an old 60's something Mopar, still had the original white leather in it in near perfect cond. He said all he had ever used was saddle soap. I've used it for awhile and my seats look great, only like 4 bucks a can too. Just follow the directions on the can.

Where do you get a product like that? A feed supply store? Western wear store? Thanks.

Yeah somthing like that, I buy mine at a place called "gunnies" they sell saddles and cowboy boots and guns and stuff.

I leave a nice thick film of Meguirs Leather conditioner and repeat 2-3 in a 1-2 hour span leaves it nice soft. I clean the vinyl and leather seats with a soft copper brush I just sprak a lot of liquid leather cleaner so I dont scuff up the leather, its really noticible in my Mocha/Tan interior.

I clean off the seats with some saddle soap, then pour on a nice coat of leather couch conditioner. Put it on, then wipe it around, leave it for a few minutes, and wipe it off. And having tears in my driver's seat doesn't hurt the soft feal either!

I'd still like to find the leather softener mentioned on SHOTimes, though. They article claims it works really nicely.

I use Meguiars leather cleaner. Works and smells great!

Ok, I found a couple of things around the house... here I've got Blue Coral Professional Gel Protectant and Murphy's Oil Soap, either of these any good? They both say they can be used on leather. If no one's had experience with these then I'll just play it safe and go with the Meguiars stuff y'all mentioned.
