Check engine light P0020

Was driving to work this morning. While cruising on the highway doing 75mph, the check engine light came on. After I parked, I pulled out my handy WiFi OBD scanner, and pulled code P0020.

I did install a K&N intake about a week ago, could this have something to do with this issue?

Scanner showed: “Camshaft Position (A) Actuator Circuit (Bank 2)". Could this be a wiring issue?

Did you disconnect any wiring at the time of the install? Then very likely yes. Pull the connector, clean, grease, reconnect. Clear codes and check.

I might have, I will check everything when I get out of work today. I did have some problems with the sensor that goes into the intake, but I don’t see how that could be related...

Shouldn't be. Those codes are different, BUT it's a system. Think of it like dominoes. One part causes an error, it creates errors down the road in other parts. Make sure the sensor in the intake is securely attached and the wiring undamaged. Same with the cam sensor on bank 2.

Do you have a picture with the sensors I’m looking for, I’m not very mechanically inclined

You mean pics of the installed sensors? I will have to see if I can find a good shot of the engine bay, but most pics don't usually showcase that side of the engine.

I unplugged every sensor I could see and plugged them back in, and I went ahead and loaded the stock tune. Just to be on the safe side, CEL hasn’t come back on yet..

Give it a couple of hundred miles of driving. After that, it can be declared "fixed"

CEL is back on, after about 3 weeks and 3-400 miles of driving. No difference in the way the car runs what so ever. What could this be?

Either a pin in the wiring loom is loose for the VCT solenoid on bank 2, or the solenoid itself is failing. Pull the connector and check thoroughly, clean, grease and reconnect. Clear codes.

I will definitely do that, however I’m not sure where the connector is on the engine

Also what product do I use to clean the connectors?

The connectors are on top of the valve covers on the belt side of the engine, nothing else in that spot, easy to locate. Use a wire brush and electrical cleaner to gently clean the pins etc. Dump out the liquid (which will carry away the grime), wipe with a non-lint rag or shop towel, let dry, blow out the connectors with an Air Duster or compressed air, add some dielectric grease, and close it back up.

Disconnect the battery before attempting this.
