Do any of you guys have a complete cable shifter I can purchase or trade straight up for a rod shifter?

I probably have one, but it's buried somewhere in either the garage or basement, or both. Haven't seen it for years. You still working at Dunn?

Going to run cables on the 95? All of the cables I have owned have broken. If you would have told me before the 91 went to the scrapyard, I could have given you those, it just needed the mopar repair end...... I didn't know they would ever be wanted!

I am a retail sales manager for Tireman now... I kinda of go to all the stores but my usual home base is the store on King and Central. I have been filling in at the Reynolds/Angola store lately. I drove by your house recently as I plucked the parts car 93' just down the road from you on Rambo.

I want to give it a whirl. I really don't have any other ideas... where the boss bolts in for the rod shifter on my 95' is screwed. A piece of it must have broken off before I purchased the car and someone just cross threaded the bolt in there. It finally broke... I haven't devised a way to relocate how the boss mounts yet and I figured I would try a cable shifter for ***** and giggles. I have the spare car but I don't feel like doing a tranny swap right now.

You should come on by. Bring a chunk of aluminum and we can mill a brace. I have a trans sitting here, and a little micro mill.

Hey racer14,
I've got a cable shifter assembly complete, still in an '89 parts car. I live in Temperance, just across the state line from Toledo. I'd trade for the rod shifter, if you're still thinking of going the cable route..

thanks,
Jeff

Yea, if you want to remove the cable shifter from your parts car I'll remove the rod shifter in mine and swap even up. I'll PM you my info.

hey Jim, it's been awhile since I dismantled an 89 with a cable shifter, but I seem to remember some brackets welded to the floor inside the car where the cable housings terminated. Your 95 won't have those.

(edit)
I checked the cable to rod swap instructions in the how to section. You're in luck, it appears to bolt onto the floor.
