Like many other people on this forum, I went to my local Ford store to buy a new Fusion AWD. After test driving the Fusion (great car, BTW) I was waiting on the salesman to do something and got totally sidetracked and wandered around the lot. I saw a black SHO sitting there and was really impressed! Then I looked at the sticker price and almost had a heart attack! The sales guy told me there were nice rebates and offered my wife and I a test drive while they looked at my trade. After 2 minutes in the SHO my wife said she no longer wanted the Fusion... Happy wife, happy life, right?
When her and I met 17 years ago I owned a 1993 white SHO that was my first "grown up" car after I got out of college and had a real job. The first time her and I went to lunch way back then she saw my car and said "SHO, that stands for Super High Output, right?" Well, I was in love when she said that and we have been together since...
Since she just said the magic words "I want us to have another SHO" I asked the dealer if he could get me a white one. He said no, that the rebates only applied to the one he had... So, I found one an hour away, drove down, made the deal and now have a new white SHO with every option available, including the Performance Package. Just an awesome car! So happy to have her and can't wait to put more miles on her in the coming years!
BTW, with the rebates, my SHO was only $2k more than a fully loaded Fusion AWD, after being discounted. Great deals to be had right now!
