Borlas installed - Loving every minute of them

Got my borlas installed here recently and oh man they sound great. I never expected this much sound out of a low displacement v8, but it is music to the ears. If you plan on getting them you will not be disappointed. Only I wasn't happy about was that I requested stainless steel welds and piping and I got ***** for that but it looks very nice.

Mufflers: 175 with shipping
Install: 200 (*****! but it is a good quality job)
Look on ppls faces when they see it is a taurus: PRICELESS!

Drive around for a while and let the mufflers warm up a bit. Then, go park in a garage. Have someone else start the car as you're standing behind it!

Already swapped cars with my friend and did a flyby. Ohhhhh man that is schweeeeeeet. Only time i heard it startup was when I first picked it up, will have to try it again.

Wait a couple of weeks to burn out the insides they will get a little louder. I have the bullets but they sound just like the the borlas. I still need to get the thirds cat cutout and maybe a exhaust cutout just for fun.

you should hear my car. its parked cuz im working on it, but it has nothing after the cats and i started it up. Damn is it loud and its actually sounds good. Oh well time to put the new exhaust in, and the radiator, and the Coilovers.

I broke my catback off racing with Mark N back in October, and I ended up driving the 200mi home with open exhaust. It sounds great, but the rattling of your teeth gets annoying.

I have noticed that they have gotten a little louder over the past fews days.....all I can say is they sound nice. This "little" 3.4L motor sounds better than any "muscle car" I've heard. Definatly a recommened upgrade.

Hey Ozz, You don't need the resonator to pass a visual emmissions test do you? Did you notice any bottom end loss of torque when you took the resonator out? Did you just put in a straight pipe in place of the resonator? One more question, The resonator isn't the same thing as the 3rd cat right? Sorry bout all the questions, i just wanna do it right when i do it.

A: VA has little of no emissions laws so most of us here can do what we want. I BELIVE that a resonator is not required int the first place to pass any type of emissions. (someone back me up on that one?!?!?!?)

Q: Did you notice any bottom end loss of torque when you took the resonator out?
A: Acutally I notted no bottom end loss by the good ol' butt dyno but some people say that you do lose some low end. With the setup I went with you lose VERY LITTLE. A guy on the v8sho list ran a 14.90 with this same exhuast setup and porterized intake, so I don't think you will lose much.

A: Yes, just a striaght piece of stainless steel pipe that's it.

A: No, the resonator is located right behind the 3RD cat, two completly different things.

You will be more than happy with this setup if you were to get it. From outside the car hearing a take off it sounds ****** OFF! It is nice.

If they tell you that you can't use u'r stock tips when you do this exhuast upgrade....walk away slowly, then RUN LIKE ****, cuz they don't know what they are doing.
