look on the inside of the strut near the knuckle, if it is a tokico it should have a sticker there, i have had a few pairs of tokico's.

Black springs could be moogs as well, or possibly another aftermarket brand (cant recall the name.. Maybe TSW???)

TRW . . . . .

A friend of mine has a set of dark blue struts all the way around on his Gen 2, with eibach springs, and the ride is better then OEM. I haven't had a chance to pull off the wheels, and verify what type of strut they are, but I was thinking maybe they were an earlier set of tokicos since they were blue, but seeing how you guys have mentioned that the Motorcraft struts also come in blue, I'll definately try to get under there and find out.

Monroe. Monroe makes Reflex, SensaTrac, and Gasmatic struts. Qualitywise in the same order I listed them. Monroe's will have the name (Monroe) on the lower end of the strut just above the knuckle on the front and just below in the rears. Sensatrac=black, Reflex=silver/gold, gasmatic=blue

My Gabriel Ultras are black. (yeah yeah yeah don't talk trash about my Gagriels.) Yes they are cheap but I kinda like the way they ride since mine is a daily driver.

Ford factory strut and replacements came in both blue and black. I think Eibach springs were black too. Haven't looked at those in years though.

I've purchased five sets of Ford OEM/Motorcraft struts and other than the set I need to pickup tomorrow, they've all been black.
