if i am not allowed to post this please tell me and i wont. i got a bbt for my 96 sho although you have to have your uim bored out to match the throttle body. It was a big difference. i think having my secondary butterfly's removed added to it. I got better throttle responds.hp gains have yet to be determined. my cai was louder also. someone who is interested in this like shobro's etc please pm me and i will give you the details i can also have lim and heads ported and polished. i also can have sway bars front and rear ,strut tower braces, headers and fuel rails made i also have dino's around me and access to a flow bench. so please get up with me these are professionally done.lack of funds and cores has stop me on alot of this. thank you and again if i am not allowed to post this stuff please tell me and i will not post it . i am not trying to step on anyones toes . thank you

Our throttle bodies are paper thin as it is. There is NOT enough "meat" to Bore any significant amount of material from it.
The gains would be in millionths of a horsepower.

Move on.

I beg to differ! Our throttle body's bottle neck, the inlet is 71mm the back is about a 1/4 smaller then the front. Not to include that material can be taken off the throttle body. It goes from big to small. the only thing i had done was keep the same size of the inlet(71mm) the whole way through, buy my machinist. so please don't call me a lier. When i feel like taking it off i will take a comparison pic to back up what i say. There is a difference in the peddle as well. hp im not sure.Throttle response is a difference . Very touchy and quicker rpm climb with less peddle. Thank you.

I am simply telling people what i have "done". To give people an idea of what can be done.I have seen people shoot down allot of stuff on this forum. I am not joe shmoe with a dreamal. Everything i have done and will have done. Can be backed up. my machinist also has a flow bench that i can have him put it on. Dyno's are in my area also. I do not have the cores or time to do alot of this or i would be selling parts, with flow bench reports and dyno runs to prove it.

Again i am not trying to step on anyones toes,or to start an argument.
I figured people would be more open minded to new mods. And not so close book on a car there is very little for already ?????

Can you say 'venturi'? ;)

Though I have not really looked or done any math to check, I suspect you might want to retain the 'bigger' to 'smaller' aspect, regardless of how much metal is available to remove.

I think it would be almost easier to fabricate an adapter and order a mustang 70/75 mm on ebay.

At least that's what im gonna try on my V6. (yea I know im on the V8 thread but it coult still apply)

Yeah my machinist said the same thing. I can get anything laser cut. It was easier and cost less to just have him do it. Our tb is only about 4mm smaller. Don't know if it would make much difference? I will look into it though. But it was an idea though.thanks for your input. good idea

didnt know the v8 SHO had a bigger maf then the v6. food for thought

I was told once they were useless for the V6's since no one has a tune for it. Probably if someone that has nothing else to do could figure out a MAF curve to put into your tweecer...but then again I'd rather pay 50$ to get a mark8 maf and slam in the tables and never worry about it again.

With the right tools you can make almost any MAF work with a motor providing it is big enough.
