. . .that Oldsmobile Calais Quad 442 that kicked my @ss the last meet  :

Last Sunday's Results

The 3.2L Stage 2 cammed '91 Plus finished 16th of 100. Not bad for a daily driver, heh heh :naughty:

To keep me humble and hungry, I got beat by a stock 2007 Mazdaspeed MS3 (sure, it's got a turbo), a supercharged, lightened Ford Focus, a stock Scion Tc, and a . . . Datsun 240z??? Shheeeeeiiiittt!!!! :cuss:

Nice! 16/100 is nothing to sneeze at by any measure especially considering the other hardware that was there.

I guess that means your going to have to retire the car and move on to something better. I will gladly take it off your hands.

Oh! and you can throw in your supercharger you have waiting to be installed too!

Very good work, sir!

Cams (probably stage 2), welded motor mounts, and further weight reduction.

I'm thinking of running in "Street tire, non-stock" class this year where the competition is more intense. (Our club uses non-SCCA class definitions.)

For tires, either the rt-615 that I have now or the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R, which are a a tad pricier but people around here seem to think are a little faster.

Haven't weighed the car yet, but an educated guess would be around 2900.

I'm going to convert the dual mufflers to a single setup, remove the engine roll dampeners, and ditch the trailer hitch among other things.

Then I'll weigh it and see what the magic number is.

ah, ok, i've already done that stuff and for some reason thougth you already had. I'm about to do somemore exhaust work myself. i like only having one muffler but i miss the other tailpipe. gonna do something BMWish with the two tips on one side. i think it will look better than just one.

2900 lbs sounds like you have a gutted interior, but you have a trailer hitch?

Yeah, mainly using it to stiffen the unibody but it doesn't seem to be adding much on top of the SFC's and rear STB that are already in place.

It's a good 35 lbs. too.

oooh ok i didnt know you could use it to stiffen the back but i see how it can be used.

i hears a while ago about some kind of x shaped subframe connector design that was suppposed to be super stiff. i dont know where the idea went tho.
