well, like i told tom when he said the guy was supposed to pick the pumpkin up already,

'if he's paid for it, let us come down on it like vultures, have someone crush the shell and then simply claim he thought the guy picked it up'

lol....

i was simply jesting. and my legal representative felt the need to include this complete lack of condoning any such action by anyone.

however i will gladly assist anyone who may need a gen one steel hood (if they really really want it i'll stop laying parts on it.

you shoulda seen what i did to the damn trunk when i realized i pulled a bonehead move and set something too heavy on it and latched it shut without a keyhole or the doors attached to the car anymore for the keyless entry. like most gen 1s (at least mine and a couple others i've seen) the lever by the gas door does not operate... sad.

Well, had a good time. Donovan and Mike got their SHO running better, Troy finally got a ride in The Other Woman, tore apart some SHO's (anybody need any 3.0 or Gen 3 engine parts?) ate even more pizza, met Donavan's, Troy's and Jesse's significant others, (and most of them were pregnant!). Good time.

Tom,
speaking of significant others, it was nice to actually say more than hello to your wife as well, not to mention meeting your sister and father over this last week tom, as well as having a couple laughs with ethan and Dusty, whether it was over me and jesse quoting the movie friday (you know this... man!) or watching me use a 10lb sledge hammer to decimate a deck lid to get at my parts in the trunk of the spy hunter. my wife said yesterday after taking me and dropping me off that i was lucky i make such good friends with people and that you had the patience to put up with me. the wedding i had to go to was fun, but i would (and my wife would have) much rather stayed up in dooleyville stripping down the spy hunter and the 97 with you guys.

Mike,
hope everything went good with your power steering swap. i'll have to PM you those pics of you posing with your shiny outer tie rod ends. it was good seeing you and your kids again, too bad your exchange student couldn't make it down but i hope you at least got a nap and had fun at the lock in as i'm sure she did as well. every time i see your car and how well cared for it is, it kicks me in the pants a little more and more to catch up and keep up on maintaining mine. subframe connectors and H brace in mine very soon.

Eric,
it was cool seeing the pumpkin:omgsho: on thursday when came by to pick up the flywheel you so generously traded me to help finish my clutch job. if you need any help straightening the core support on your car don't hesitate to ask. can't wait to see it in action in a couple weekends, i'm gonna try real hard to make it out.

Troy,
once again, thanks for the green wing, and i'm sorry the black one never showed up. remind me if you need a gen 1 or 2 again and i'll see what i can find when i go hunting in the junk yards on my side of the I 17. I also wanted to say thanks for hauling off the spy hunter to the scrapper, and sorry for not being there to help with tearing down the big red gen 3. hopefully the cam's haven't spun and Tom can get some coin for that v8.

Jesse,
Jemal, you helped me out a lot over the last few weeks, selling me parts so cheap even tom raised his eyebrows when i told him what i paid, being patient with me getting the money and logistics straightened out with disposing of your beloved black 89 (which probably made mikey tear up more than anyone due to being stuck behind you when the fumes billowed, i dont think he was especially attached to it:rofl:). you also came over and helped on thursday to get my rod bearings and clutch in, and you're still helping me get the struts and springs and 96 upgrade squared away. genuinely appreciate the time and effort you put in on a car you don't even own. the favor will be returned on your fox and the poncho.

the buggy guys,
thanks for coming out, i always love seeing SHO powered buggies, especially the two of yours, while not forced induction like the other woman (which is still sexy as all get out tom) its cool seeing the fabrication work that goes into a sand rail as i am not well versed in the construction of them and the different types.

Nick, even though you weren't at the meet, i wanted to say thanks for helping tom on monday to strip the subframe and everything attached to it out of the spyhunter, and for being there in thought on thursday when i was doing my clutch job. my watching and learning when you did it definitely paid off quite a bit (with a little steering and direction from tom and jesse). hope everything is going good with your car, and hope your fix for 3rd gear works with this one. PM me if you head up to speedworld and i'll come and video tape for you or something.

once again it was cool seeing everyone.

It was very good to see everybody.

I'm anxious to hear Mike's stories from his all-nighter with 500 teenagers.
