Yeah...I've been running a LMS tune since about month after I purchased the car (400miles) I have 22,000 on it now an running stronger than ever!
I'd like to personally thank Dan and Rick for the time and effort put into the Ecoboost platform.
. Since my SHO is a daily driver, can anyone tell me the drivability of Stage 3? Since my SHO is a daily driver, can anyone tell me the drivability of Stage 3?
Cheers!
One more LMS customer here. Hoping to get my SCT sometime within the next couple of days. I swear I think Rick just sits by the computer answering emails all day. He responds exceptionally fast to all my questions; which was my primary reason for going with LMS (exceptional service).
Too bad I live in SoCal where we only have 92 octane. Prevents me from enjoying the fun you guys have with the Stage 4 and 4+. Since my SHO is a daily driver, can anyone tell me the drivability of Stage 3?

I would if I could. However according to Rick, stage 4 and 4+ requires 93/94 octane.
Interesting read Showgun. I'll give that a shot.Go to your local hardware store and get a supply of Toluene to bump your octane. Works like a charm and was strongly recommended.
Effective in raising octane to prevent pinging/detonation.
It's what I'm doing until my station gets 94.
Follow the link below for a full explanation.

You'll be glad you did.

Or just do the LMS/AlkyControl meth inj and call it a day...in addition to the detonation control you'll pick up a 1/2 second in the quarter mile. Safer and quicker...you can't beat that!!!

Dang it... I swore I wasn't going to try and turn another Daily Driver into a race car... LOL!

I 've just spent 15 minutes looking for info on LMS's kits and can't find a dang thing (on their site).
Can you point me in the right direction Darrell or do I need to talk to Rick directly?
Wanted to read up on them and check out costs and installation etc.
Cheers,
Colin

Colin,
I sent you a pm and email. They aren't on the site yet, but we can get them. As of now, you will have to fab a few brackets for the pump and tanks. If/when we get another car in here to do an install, we will make a few extra sets.
Thank you,
Rick
For info... Go to Alky Contro's website - They are located in the Tampa, FL area. No pricing on site.
If you look on "Devils Own" W/M site, you can get an idea of what it costs, and similar systems. Livernois likes Alkyl Control... I have a Roe Racing system that Torrie adapts. I did get a second W/M pump. Biggest difference is Alkyl Control allows you to use 100% Methanol under safer conditions as their lines are braided vs. hard plastic, which mine are. My system is triggered at 8 PSI and sprays at full rate until boost drops below 8 PSI... Darreli's system uses a controller to vary spray based on boost pressures. With any of these systems, you need your EB engine tuned for W/M. Same goes for the 3 Bar sensor, which really needs a w/m system to counter any knock issues. And... another tune!
All of my tunes are based on the logs I send to Torrie. Ideally, one should get a dyno tune, which covers most every issue, and then via logging, you can tweak it for real time conditions, like cooler temps etc. Assume Rick and Dan can do the same. They are first rate!
Also, do a search on Water/ Methanol systems. There are some great articles that explain all of this for us newbees!
