Any GTG's in the Northern VA area?

Hello all, I'm new to the SHO world and i've seen a few SHO's around my area but i'm sure they aren't active in the forums.

Were there any GTG's in the past or a active Capital SHO club?

I had a BBQ not too long ago, we got together for the car show at the University of Maryland, pretty much just make arrangements for a meet and see who will show up.

A lot of us are busy with work but most of us have somewhat flexible schedules.

I'm in Centreville, VA. I've seen about 3 Gen 3 SHO's in my area but i'm sure that they don't go to any meets or know about the forums. Coming from the world of VW's, there was almost always a GTG or a show, just thought I'd check here and see how the scene is. Anyway, I hope to attend a GTG soon and meet everyone from the area!

im going to try also. if i get my car finished anytime soon i will be having a pick n pull party for my 94. i wanna get this car stripped before i send it to heaven, i wouldnt want all those parts to go to waste. that said, it will be 5$ for any part. this will be good for ken or scott because its green on tan. good front bumper and hood.

the only thing i need is the trans.

Wow, I completely forgot about this thread! Thanks for all the feedback and welcomes!

Anyway, I'd really like to set up a small GTG here in Northern VA. There used to be a VW GTG in Manassas (I dont think anyone meets up there anymore.. )right off Rt.66 where the Regal Cinemas are, if anyone knows where that is. I think it would be a good place to meet up unless anyone else has any other ideas, i'm all for it. It would be good to take over the lot where they were though..

Yeah, I know exactly where you are talking about, Right there on Rt28 and I66. Been many years since I've been there.

Yeah, that sounds great! I was thinking of also making a post in the TCCA forums to see if there was any interest there as well. But somewhere near DC or DC would work out well for everyone.

I am down for any VA get together. there isn't a huge scene in NC, but whether i drive to wisnton salem NC (4.5 hrs) or NOVA (4.5 hrs) it doesn't matter to me. would love to do something as long as it doesn't require me driving through fairfax, va.. i hate that place! the cops are so bad there...i don't understand it lol. but we will be at anything you guys want to put together!
