How hard is it to take a moonroof out of a wreaking yard find. Found a 95 with a moonroof. It is in the closed position. After replacing my seal I found one of the arms could need to be replaced. Thought of the idea of taking the tracking and glass, motor , everything out and replace my worn parts. Big job? Big Hassle?

If you aren't concerned about the wiring harness for the motor, you could cut it, and use a drill battery to operate the sunroof, so that you can get it into the vent position for removal.

I think theres only 6 philips retaining it (the glass and seal), I always removed it opened though.
I donno if its possible when its closed.

For the rest of the track , its riveted to the body , its alot more of a pain.

yeah I think you guys are right. Thought about pulling the head liner out and see if I could get it from the inside. My track arms are ok for now. When I had my glass out I seen a small white plastic chip that came out of the track. It may be ok for now. Just thought I would try to grab the stuff before it went thru the crusher

And that is a good idea. Maybe take a zip grinder and cut it out, or take a battery drill and drill out all the rivets and see if you can get it out.
I like the grinder idea myself, but you might have to rent it (battery powered).
