Airbox sensor

I'd like to know what the purpose of the airbox sensor is and how do you know it's bad or going bad?

you know its bad if you have a code for it and the engine runs like crap.

There is nothing on the dash that will be affected by the IAT sensor.

If you have a volt meter you can check it yourself.

OAT= Outside air temp, mines been 10 degrees off since new
