the family and i are going on a couple of road trips this summer and i was wondering if adding an air splitter on the front would save any fuel. i know that in road racing, splitters are added for more mph's, but would it be worth mpg's on long highway trips?

Not worth the time or money to build and test one properly. Tune up, clean your fuel injectors, make sure your tire pressure is consistent, fluids are fresh, and call it a day.

Splitter = more downforce, not necessarily more mpg. Depending on size/functionality, it could effect mpg either way, but it would not be the first place I would look to if decreasing fuel consumption was my priority.
