A/C manifold suction hose question 92 vs 93?

If anyone has any input i'd appreciate it. Here is a thread linking a diagram of the line I currently have on my '92 mtx. I'm only interested in the suction manifold tube assembly in the diagram.

I never asked this question when I found it, but why wouldn't this line work. To me it seems they eliminated fifty percent of the line that was completely unnecessary.

I can't believe the conflicting information I have about r12 capacity specs. I see 41 oz of r12 and I see 36 oz. IIRC it was the higher amount because I had trouble ordering the correct combination of cans to achieve the amount. I also no longer have that plastic panel that included the spec.

I know I should switch to 134a because the epa says so, and it's of no consequence that at the same exact time duponts patent ran out. Just remember it migrates to the hole in the ozone layer and you had better do your part or you want to destroy the ozone layer and **** us all.
