I don't know that required by law is a good point to make here.

So are cats and yet catless dps are super popular.

I would have to be shown what State has this as a law.

I'll call it Urban Myth, along with the nonexistent "law" that says mfrs must build parts for 10 years!

Interesting that they required two separate braking systems, to cover at least two wheels each. IIRC, split master cylinder twin systems didn't show up until 1965.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay in response. COVID keeps me pretty tied up with the kids at home any any time we leave the house it's as a family so my testing is limited to solo trips to the grocery store haha.

I've had the kit installed for a little over a month now, and will be pulling it back off tomorrow evening to check the integrity of the adapter and to inspect all parts to ensure torque specs are correct for the material. Drawings and work instructions are ready for release, and I have worked with our suppliers to bring an entry level pricing for the first buy in amount, looking to be a minimum of 12 units.

Attached you'll see some testing that was done to compare the Wilwood setup to other options currently commercially available in the SHO community.

2013 SHO PP factory brakes with fairly new Ceramic pads - 2.75 seconds, 124.33'
Jordan Randle's 2013 SHO non-PP with Powerslot rotors and pads - 2.62 seconds, 116.65'
2013 SHO with Wilwood 6 piston rotors, R1Concepts slotted rotors and BP-20 pads - 2.57 seconds, 114.71'

I will say there are several variables in the testing, from pad material to incline between testing, but the Wilwoods were much smoother, less fade and steering shake, and did not take near as much pedal force to stop. I am hoping to test again in the coming days to see if I can improve the times with the Wilwoods and will report back.

My biggest take away is the difference in your car Lee. Your car is full weight and that 10 feet in difference could the the difference between a wreck and avoidance of a wreck. I know there are numerous factors, but I like real world data, tested on a public street...not a closed course.

Came here to say this. My car being light also gives it a huge advantage and still can't brake as well.

I guess I've grown immune to the funny of weight reduction jokes. If I had a dollar for every bad(funny) weight reduction idea I'd be in the 8s already. But on a more serious note the shipping weight of my rotors and pads was 92lbs with the majority of that being rotating mass. Improvements could definitely be made

Speaking of jokes.....

You'd think the way some people talk around here, with you know, so many EB's hitting 1k HP allegedly, that 8's would've been had by now.

Bwahahahaha.

Stock rotors and autozone pads.
That's awesome...

Not sure how much difference additional variables would make but there's so much more that goes into that stopping time/distance. Nice that it calculates incline/decline.

Orher variables that could affect that number are exact weight of the vehicle, temperature of the rotors/pads at the time of application, condition of the rotor/pads, condition of the tire, type of tire, surface the vehicle is on, and so on, lol.

I'm no engineer so maybe I'm splitting hairs. You should try to get a good average over a number of different conditions and temperatures. Would be cool to see how that time/distance changes, if at all....

weight, tire pressure, tire composition and friction coefficients, rotor temp, all definitely play a factor.

going to check a few things tonight, test fit a few different sets of wheels that were requested on Facebook, and then installing the DW300C fuel pump finally then I'll try to get some more data tomorrow.
