Has anyone heard of what Ford is going to do with the 2012 SHO?? I have been reading about a boost in horsepower to maybe 400?? Anything else, like bigger brakes?? I am in the market for one but not until next year. Thanks

I doubt anything with the brakes. Probably just the MyFordTouch for the interior. It's still early to see any changes to bumpers, so I doubt we will see anything visual. I got a Ford book in the mail today and inside was the Platinum Flex which has black accents on it and it looked awesome. I wouldn't mind seeing that on the Taurus.

Yeah, my brother in law just bought a platinum flex. Almost makes me wish I wouldve have waited to buy mine. I'll slowly change it over though now that the painted parts are available.

For the brakes.... Steve Ling said it at the convention. Look to the Police parts bin now that the Police Taurus is formal. Now we just need a breakdown of what all is different and should / could be changed over. Anyone at a dealership that could put a new SHO up on the lift beside a Police version and scope this out?

According to recent, but unofficial reports, (they want to sell the 2011's, so not revealing details), insiders have suggested the 2012 SHO will have more distinctive bodywork and aggressive stance with revised, painted front fascia, lighter overall weight, lighter wheels, more colors, and supposedly 400 hp. here's one of the reports

From the pics in the article above, looks like some suspension updates, as the fenderwell gaps look smaller compared to the current models.
