no pics yet, but i'm standing in the back of the crowd while Bob King, VP of the UAW National Ford Department is recognizing a bunch of the people responsible for this beautiful car. wow...i'm so dedicated to this forum that i'm standing in the very room the new SHO's made giving realtime updates. kinda sad, really...

ya'll missed out. got a tour of the assembly line with truly nifty headsets so the tour guide could give us a bunch of history...damn shame mine crapped out on me about halfway through the tour, but i still got some kick ass pics. got to crawl around and ****** a gutted SHO and see all the various toys and buttons and such. overall, good times had by all. much love to the folks at Ford for putting up with a group of yahoos who're easily distracted by shiny things and loud noises.

Was a fun time; the SHO's were coming off the assembly line one right after the other along with the lesser Tauri and MKS.. about 15 or so SHO enthusiasts showed up and got recbognition and preferred seating. Was also at the Mercedes Benz factory in Stuttgart 2 weeks ago; the Ford plant is very primitive in comparison, but this is the oldest plant in the country that built the Model T and retooled for 2010 Taurus production.
First time I sat in a SHO; only disappointment is have to get one without the moonroof as there is no headroom for tall folks, as it cuts off about 3-4 inches compared to the non-moonroof model. Red is the best color IMO too, and the Taurus blows away the MKS appearance wise. THe MKS does have the giant moonroof though for both front and rear passengers while the Taurus one is very small.
