My sister-in-law's uncle sent me a link to this R model Jag. When I started looking at the pictures it was like holy deja vu Batman! Even the interior picture looks kinda like the SHO. Ford sold Jag to Tata back in May, 2008, but I'm sure they share a bunch of the basic design. The Jag though has a 510 hp supercharged V8, but you could buy 2 SHOs with the Jag's pricetag. Check it out http://reviews.cnet.com/sedan/2010-jaguar-xfr/4505-10865_7-33999813.html?tag=nl.e751

The XF-R debuted, at least in North America, at Detroit in Jan, 2008. Well before the sale to Tata. It's OK...

XF-R is like a SHO, with big, 5.0L supercharged balls. If you thought the EcoBoost had impressive torque.......

The XFR is pretty BA IMO, but I can tell you it shares absolutely no parts what-so-ever with the SHO. For starters it's a completely different chassis, being RWD, not the FWD based AWD D3 platform borrowed from Volvo. The XF is actually based on a modified version of the S-type chassis, which Ford borrowed for the Lincoln LS and last gen Thunderbird.

dial-a-shift?

I like it, it stays flush with the center console until the car is started, at which point the dial shifter and vents do a little dance for you. They call it the "jaguar handshake". Motor trend had one for a long term tester and were very pleased with it, and nothing major went wrong. Although i will be interested in seeing how cars like this hold up when they're 20 yrs old.

did i mention how ******* sexy this car is? :naughty:

The interior or shall i say dash is too plain for me...I need some wood to bring me up to spirits...Other wise it is a sexy looking car but needs wood. :)

too bad it's an overweight pig like the SHO because they didn't use their aluminum space frame, which means the XJ S/C will probably end up lighter, again.

+1 on the XJ. The XF is nice but a bit heavy.
If I were spending that kind of green I'd go GT-R and give up a little lux.
