Right now Carlisle is probably "wishful thinking" - especially considering gas prices and that the convention is in Seattle little more than a month later.

Apparently last year's show set a new record of SHO's entered. I believe there were nearly 40 cars...I contacted the show director at Carlisle to see if there would be a possibility of breaking up the class to at least stock and modified SHO's to start. He was quite receptive to that idea. They need about 10 cars to make a class.

Does anyone here like this idea? The deadline for the director to set up the show classes is May 19th.

I really don't know how that would work...... they may set up in a different area

if we get 50 cars signed up ahead of time we could get the big tent off of them and a better spot in the SHOw field

more cars = more leverage and terry takes care of the stuff with carlisle staff

That's a good question. Sometimes the number of "mods" gets to be a problem to define so that everyone agrees. The idea is to set up more than just one HUGE class of SHO's. Maybe a V-6 and V-8 class would be a start...
