    Heating up ....

I noticed that when I was still using an analog cluster that my temp gauge would fluctuate to the M and when the fan came on it went back down to the O, but after installing my digital cluster with the new temp sender, it goes up to the middle line and doesn't move at all after that, no more no...

Front axles replaced this weekend. Not a bad job.

This is an easy fix, just a little expensive if you want new parts, but not too bad for SHO parts. Get F-22 Raptor to send you the messages I sent him. You'll be done in no time and telling others how to do it. Good luck. Paul

Front axles replaced this weekend. Not a bad job.

Dude, I'm so glad it worked out for you. This is what I love most about this forum is the sharing of information that truly lets people be there own mechanic and save lots of money. I was driving around the other day and saw a sign in front of a shop that said they were CV Joint Specialists...

    secondary parts sourcing

I'm not totally sure about it, but that's what it reads on the part that I installed in my car. It works perfectly and opens the secondaries at the exact same rpms as the old one.

    secondary parts sourcing

This is the new part number that the guy at the dealership gave me and said that it is the part for the 96+ sho's and that it was the part number that replaced the 93 part numer I had.

    secondary parts sourcing

Glad I could help you out again Brian. I seem to keep having the same problems that you end up having a couple months later. Again, the dealer was the only place I found the part, but check with Torrie at FordPartsNetwork because I'm sure he could get it for you. The current part number for...

    secondary parts sourcing

I had this exact problem and solved it by replacing the secondary control solenoid. I had to order it from ford and it cost about 35 bucks. I replaced it in the parking lot of the dealership just to make sure it was what I needed and sure enough it fixed it. Turns out that when I gave the...

    SFB safety recall

I'm not saying that either of the AL bushings from Bryan or Netviper are better, I'm saying that you should know what you're talking about before questioning someone who obviously has a lot more experience than you. Be nice to people on the forum, otherwise you might as well not post at all...

    SFB safety recall

You apparently have never heard of Netviper. He's been making AL subframe bushings for quite a while and really knows his stuff. You should really be careful about making statements like "Who the hell are you?" to people who have made almost a thousand times more posts than you. When you refer...

    Driveline Problem for the experts

Well, I'm glad that it solved your problem, but I already have all new plug wires, plugs, and fuel pump. Now I didn't have my fuel line cleaned, but I use injector cleaner pretty often, so I can't say that any of that would help me. Thanks again though, Paul

    Driveline Problem for the experts

Not to mention, it's a plus which is even more rare. I bought my car in 2001 for $3000 dollars cash, since then I've probably spent about $6000 in repairs with myself doing most of the work, and the couple of "mods" that I've done. I learned the hard way that this is an expensive car, and so...

What kind of mounts do you have? stock or reinforced? when have they been replaced or have they?

    Driveline Problem for the experts

Cool. BTW I did notice that my tranny is leaving a very small puddle where the halfshafts are leaking. Oh well, good reason to swap trannies. Oh, do you still want that Analog cluster and the headliner? The damn headliner still hasn't come in yet, but I'm going to be pissed at UPS if it...

    Driveline Problem for the experts

Well, that sucks that we both have the same problem, I mean it's good that it's the same so if one of us figures it out, we both will, but it sucks that it's such an annonying issue. I haven't had a chance to check my A/C bracket yet, but I will with CheckerSHO on Friday. It's wierd, I just...

    Driveline Problem for the experts

First of all, I have checked my tranny mount and it appears fine with no separation of the rubber from the metal. Second, the tranny mount is easily seen if you look behind the driverside wheel. It is right there on the subframe in front of the axel. I'm told by several people that this mount...

    Driveline Problem for the experts

I did the engine movement check again right after I heavily torqued the bolts and the motor still moved quite a bit, so I think it might be a possiblity.

    Driveline Problem for the experts

yeah, it's definitely still attatched, but do you think it might be broken?

    Driveline Problem for the experts

Well, I thought after tightening the bolt that was loose that it would get rid of the movement, but it still moves. So I have no idea. I think we just need to put it on the rack again. So I guess you won't me needing my y-pipe anymore, huh? I was hoping to see what it was like to have a...
